The First International Forum on Ziyorat Tourism kicks off in Bukhara

The First International Forum on Ziyorat (Pilgrimage) Tourism kicks off in Bukhara.

The forum, which is held for the first time in Uzbekistan, was organized by the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, “Vaqf” Public Charity Fund, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bukhara Regional Khokimiyat, Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

The forum is attended by leaders of 120 authoritative organizations of the Islamic world, authoritative religious figures, representatives of higher education institutions, tourism administrations, scientific and academic circles, travel companies on pilgrimage tourism.
